Rose Partners has appointed Rob Jefferies as Country Chairman for Libya as the company continues to grow its business development and client services operations in the country. Rob will be the senior representative of Rose Partners in Libya and work with Clarke Jarrett, the Group Strategic Director, to deliver the company’s business development activities.
Rob joins Rose Partners after 34 years of service as an officer in the British Army. He attained the rank of Brigadier after operational service in Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Afghanistan and Iraq. His last appointment was UK Defence Attaché in Baghdad.
Commenting on his appointment, Nick Kitson, Founder and Partner at Rose Partners, said:
“Rob has over three decades of experience in counter terrorism and counter insurgency strategy, operations and training, and brings formidable experience to our senior team. He has led specialist training teams across the MENA region and was responsible for delivering a number of extensive police training programmes in the region. He really understands security sector and police reform which is a core component of our work in Libya.”
Rob is a former board member of the Conflict, Stability and Security Fund in Iraq. He has worked closely with the UK’s FCO, DFiD and a broad range of international NGOs operating in MENA.
