The LIFE SKILLS – PERSONAL RESILIENCE course is designed for young people preparing for the transition out of full-time education, often the period of time before higher education begins and career commitments reduce freedom and flexibility to travel. This covers everything from CV writing to first aid and self-defence to body language. The training has been developed alongside psychologists, business mentors and mindfulness experts to develop future leaders.
The course embeds the principles of effective decision-making to ensure that participants can:
- Recognise – what information is available to help them evaluate and understand dynamics of a situation
- Analyse – information thoroughly to actively determine useful courses of action based on their aspirations and their surroundings
- Prioritise – their choices for action whilst maintaining their flexibility having prepared alternative options and being ready to adapt
